Pollinator garden launch a success!

We had a very successful Bee garden opening in Isabel Morris park Tuesday Sept. 5th. It was “The Bees Knees!”

Caley Bedore from Chex Daily was on hand to film a segment for CHEX TV. It will air tonight (Wednesday) between 5 and 5:30pm and then again Thursday at 12:30pm.

Later it will be uploaded to our YouTube channel. (Link will appear here and on our Facebook page.)

Also thank you to President of the Ontario Horticultural Association Rose O’Dell and the Mayor and deputy Mayor for coming out as well and sharing your kind words. Sue Chan educated us on which types of bees were using the bee hotel and Mike Chellew has plans to build a “basement apartment” which will fit under the current bee house!

So much excitement around these little buzzers!

Thank you to the Peterborough Pollinators Group, The OHA and S-E-L township for their financial and in-kind support of this new project.
